INFO
I grew up in Australia and started my artistic endeavors as a musician and composer. After studying Creative Arts with a focus on Jazz performance, things took a turn into the world of ambient instrumental music with the German record company – Innovative Communication.
After releasing five solo albums and appearing on over twenty compilation albums spanning a good portion of the 90’s, I moved to the technical side of the business and opened my own recording studio in Sydney. Eventually, the attraction of working in the film business brought me to Los Angeles in 2000 where I live today.
From my new home base, I travelled the world for almost two decades. I flew more than 2.5 million miles and stepped foot on every continent except Antarctica. In amongst my business trekking, I became interested in photography and the creative gears in my head started to turn once more.
I bought my first DSLR camera in 2007 and began to teach myself how to take meaningful pictures of the places I visited, rather than simple snapshots. I tried different genres like street photography, architecture, and even product photography. However, Landscape photography was where I really connected with the medium.
In 2013, I started to get serious and developed a deeper understanding of capturing landscapes. I now tend to look for the subtle elements rather than sweeping vistas. Photography is a fascinating journey that continues for me every day. Maybe someday this road might take me to the south pole so I can finally complete my global journey.
